Focus on the ACAG

L'Association des crevettiers acadiens du Golfe (ACAG)

Welcome to the ACAG site!

Shrimp fishing is admittedly the least known fishery as far as the Acadian Peninsula population, and even the population at large, is concerned. This small crustacean is absolutely delicious and greatly appreciated by many people.

The ACAG was founded in 1996 following the restructuring of the APPA into the Fédération (FRAPP Inc.). The association is comprised of shrimper captain owners and is a member of the FRAPP IncIt represents its members and ensures that their interests are protected, and promotes sound management of the shrimp industry.

We hope that your visit on our site will allow you to learn more about this fishery and the importance of this section in the fishing industry of New Brunswick.
