Provincial Allowances

• Each province’s fleet (QC, NB, NFLD) holds a precise percentage of shrimp in each shrimp bank for the South of the Gulf of St. Lawrence; this percentage is mainly based on fishing history in those areas.
• New Brunswick’s fleet holds 22,5% of the total allowable catches (TAC) for shrimp in the Scotian Shelf.
