Focus on the APPME

APPME (L'Association des pêcheurs professionnels membres d'équipage)

Welcome to the Association des pêcheurs professionnels membres d’équipage site! Since it constitutes the only group of crew members, our association serves as the crew members’ voice in several discussion forums, including at the local, provincial and national levels.

The APPME is the only active crew member group in Canada.

Our association was established on May 17, 1996, through the transformation of the Association des pêcheurs professionnels acadiens (APPA) into the Fédération régionale acadienne des pêcheurs professionnels (FRAPP). Our members have been involved for more than 40 years in the development of mindshare fisheries through various associations which evolved into the federation, the FRAPP.
